artcornwall, which was launched in Summer 2006, is an online journal that will document contemporary artistic practice in Cornwall. There is little in the way of printed critical debate in the county despite the wealth and variety of art that is made here. There is also no dedicated art periodical. artcornwall will therefore aim to provide a forum for debate that places Cornish art within wider contexts. These contexts will be both historical and international. It will rely on articles and photographs submitted by artists working in both fine art and other fields. Contributions by art-writers and other interested individuals will also be welcome. To suggest ideas or to offer material please contact the editorial committee through rupert.white@virgin.net. We are happy to publish images of exhibitions or events alone without text, and we can accommodate a wide range of ideas and opinions. Use the same e-mail to also let us know if you are simply interested in joining our mailing list. If so you will have an e-mail sent to you roughly quarterly that will let you know about visual art-related events in Cornwall
